I have the honor this summer to lead a men’s event/group that is part of the connect groups and summer hang groups from my church theChapel.cc. The goal for the event is for men that love Jesus to attend and bring their sons (12 and older), friends, coworkers, and neighbors that normally would never go to church or be interested in hearing about God to an event. This event will feed them like they’ve never seen before and have an opportunity to hear how men just like them came to find God through the words of our testimony and our life experiences. We would love to have you as part of this event and the success of it will depend upon us believers bringing people to it and what you can add as a follower of Christ. The plan is to have one event in June and Another in July, maybe more based on attendance and need! Potential Needs
Location: we will be looking for a place with good parking and they can host a good size number of people. I live in an older waterfront community so the parking is bad and we are open to locations If you have one.
Potluck – as we first launch this event, it will be a potluck where we would like you to bring something to contribute to offset the cost. More information on that to come.
Donated food– we would love for businesses or people to donate protein, such as beef, steak or chicken wild game or other. I have some clients that will donate gator, and possibly some game feed like bear and venison from the Midwest. Everything is welcome.
Grills or smokers– this could be essential. If we meet somewhere that doesn’t have this type of equipment. We would need somebody to be able to bring it from one location to another.
